About the artist: In 1880-1884 studied at MUZHVZ under I.M. Pryanishnikov, graduated from college with a large silver medal. He taught there in 1899-1918, among his students were P.D. Korin, A.A. Plastov, L.V. Turzhansky. Member of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions, founding member of the Union of Russian Artists. The artist's works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and in many other museum collections.
