About the artist: Serhiy Mykolayovych Rybak
Serhiy Mykolayovych was born in 1950 in the city of Kilimiv (Vladimir Oblast, RSFSR).
In 1965, Serhii Rybak entered the Odesa Art School named after M.B. Grekova, where he learned the basics of painting for five years.
In 1973, the artist entered the Kyiv Art Institute, where under the guidance of such teachers as P.A. Basanets at the Faculty of Painting, V.A. Chekanyuk and N.A. Storozhenko at the Faculty of Monumental Painting, he revealed the versatility of his artistic talent.
From 1979 to 1987, he worked in the Chernihiv art and production workshops. Over the years, Serhii Mykolayovych created a number of monumental works. Among them is the classical stained glass window "Life" in the cafe of the Nizhyn State Pedagogical Institute and the mosaic "Creation" on the facade of the Nizhyn Repair Plant.
In the 1990s, Serhiy Rybak's talent gained worldwide recognition. In 1991, 12 works of the master were exhibited in the city of Chicago (USA) at the exhibition of Ukrainian artists, organized by the "Inko-Art" gallery.
To date, the artist's works are in the Nizhyn State Historical Museum (10 works), Roksolana Gallery (Chicago - 12 works). About 200 works are in private collections of Ukraine, Russia, Canada, USA, Israel, Poland, France and other countries.
In 2010, he joined the Kyiv Charitable Art Association "Golden Palette". Personal painting exhibition in the House of Scientists (Kyiv). Participation in the painting exhibition at the Ukrainian House (Kyiv).
