About the artist: Soviet Ukrainian painter, landscape painter. Honored Art Worker of the Ukrainian SSR (since 1985). Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Korostelev (Korostylev) Vladimir Alexandrovich was born on July 21, 1925. Graduated from the Simferopol Art School named after I. N. Samokisha (1955). Participant of numerous regional, republican and all-union exhibitions. He worked in the field of easel painting. In 1976 a personal exhibition of the artist took place in the Sumy Art Museum. Magnificent landscape painter, master of genre painting. Good colourist. Lived and worked in the city of Sumy. The works of V.A. Korostylev are presented in museum, gallery and private collections in Ukraine and abroad, they are quite rare in the art market of Ukraine and are highly valued by collectors.
