About the artist: Born on October 1, 1944 in the village of Yasnozorie, now Cherkassky district, Cherkasy region. Graduated from: Odessa Art School (1969), Kiev Art Institute (1975). Teachers by profession - K. Martenyuk, V. Shatalin. Painter. The author of paintings on historical subjects, as well as landscapes, still lifes. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1985). People's Artist of Ukraine (2014). He worked in the Cherkasy art-production workshops of the Art Fund of Ukraine (since 1975); Professor of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts, Cherkasy University (since 2002). Participated in exhibitions: regional, republican, all-Union (1973), Personal exhibitions: in Cherkassy (1985, 1988, 1995, 1998, 1999), Munich (1991), Berlin, Laosi (Nigeria), London (1992), Sonvo (USA , 1993), Obninsk (RF 1994), Sambore (Yugoslavia, 1994), Odessa (1995), Kiev (1995-1996), Kirovograd (1998), Chigirin (1998), Kaneve (1998). Major works: "The Front Goes West" (1976), "For Freedom" (1981), "Winter Sun" (1984), "Winter" (1985), "Bereginya" (1985), "The Bridge" (1986), triptych "Cherkassky bread" (1986), "Sad mood" (1987), "Cossack church" (1988), "Light fog", (1988), "Spill in Klochkovsky" (1989), "My thoughts, thoughts" ( 1989), "Tranquility" (1990), "Peace and Peace" (1990), "The Last Koshevoy" (1991), "Harvest in the village.
