Strelov Arkady Efimovich was born in 1923 in the village of Shukhra, Ivanovo Region. Here, among the expanse meadows and arable lands with shady, cool copses, the first years of the artist's life passed. After graduating from a vocational school in Ivanovo, he worked as a turner in a factory.
In 1942 he went to the front, fought near Stalingrad, on the Kursk Bulge, and was wounded twice. Victory May 1945, the commander of a small platoon, junior lieutenant Arkady Strelov, who was awarded the Order of the Red Star and combat medals, met in Prague.
