About the artist: Honored Artist of the RSFSR. He studied at the Kharkov Art and Industry Institute (1933-1935). During the Great Patriotic War he fought, worked in the editorial office of the newspaper "Soviet Patriot". He was repressed and rehabilitated in 1957. He worked in book graphics, periodicals, was the main artist in the Kotlas Drama Theater. In Moscow, he worked as an artist in Reklamfilm, in the publishing houses Young Guard, Progress, and Fiction. Illustrated the poetry of A. Blok, F. Villon, Apuleius’s novel “The Golden Donkey”, “Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka” N.V. Gogol, S. Maugham’s novel “The Moon and the Penny”. After a trip to Spain in 1979, an important place in the artist’s work was taken by the Spanish theme. Personal exhibitions of the artist were held in Moscow in 1979 and 1982.
