About the artists: Ukrainian painter and graphic artist, master of decorative art.
Ivan Kirillovich Tsyupka was born in 1926 in the village of Pogreby, Romany district, Sumy region, in a peasant family.
Member of the Great Patriotic War. Awarded with orders and medals.
He taught fine arts at Romany Secondary School # 1.
Tsyupka IK worked in easel painting and graphics. Master of decorative art, landscape and still life.
Permanent participant of regional, regional, republican and all-Union art exhibitions.
In the early 1960s, Ivan Tsyupka met with Tatyana Nilovna Yablonskaya, who became a senior friend and mentor to him, having a great influence on the artist's work.
The artist's personal exhibitions took place in Romny (1986, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006), Nedrigaylov (1996), his native village Pogreby (2001), Kiev (2002, 2003).
Member of the National Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine since 2003.
The works of I.K. Types are presented in the State Museum of Decorative Ukrainian Art, the Sumy Regional Art Museum, the Romani Museum of Local Lore, in gallery and private collections in Ukraine and beyond.
