About the artist: Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. People's Artist of Ukraine.
Mikhail Evgenievich Guida was born on December 18, 1954 on the Tikhonkoy farm (Pavlovsky district, Krasnodar Territory, Russia).
From 1976 to 1982 he studied at the Kiev Art Institute in the easel painting workshop under the direction of V. Shatalin.
He continued his studies at the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. Repin under the direction of V. Oreshnikov.
Since 1983 - a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (NSHU).
In 1982, Mikhail Guida began teaching at the Department of Painting at the Kiev Art Institute, since 1993 - headed the educational and creative workshops of easel painting of the Institute, since 1995 - a professor.
In 1989-1993 - Chairman of the Kiev organization of the Union of Artists of Ukraine, was repeatedly elected a Member of the Board of the National Union of Artists, served as Secretary of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
Honored Artist of Ukraine since 1993.
In 2000, Guida M.E. became a laureate of the I. Ohienko Prize.
In 2001 he received the title of People's Artist of Ukraine.
Academician of Fine Arts and Architecture. In 2004 he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine.
In 2005 he was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Supreme Council of Ukraine.
Participant of city, republican, all-union and foreign art exhibitions. The artist's personal exhibitions were held in Ukraine, USA, Italy, Poland, China.
For example, in 2010, the State Museum of Art (Hangzhou, China) hosted a personal exhibition of Mikhail Evgenievich Guida entitled "Meeting in Hangzhou - Jiangnan's Poetry", and on May 14, 2013, his exhibition opened at the Zhejiang Museum of Art (Tinhua, China).
The artist was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of Zhejiang University of Technology and Hangzhou University.
The works of M.E. Guida are presented in museum, gallery and private collections around the world.
