"Weathering" by Alexander Strashevich is an evocative abstract piece that captures the slow and inevitable process of erosion and transformation. The textured forms in the painting resemble weathered rock structures, their surfaces marked with the passage of time. The warm hues of gold, bronze, and deep shadows suggest not only the wear and tear of natural elements but also the beauty that emerges through endurance.
Strashevich’s layered and tactile technique symbolizes the gradual yet impactful forces of nature—wind, water, and time—reshaping solid matter into new forms. The painting invites reflection on life's changes, emphasizing how external and internal forces shape identity and existence over time. The work suggests that weathering, both physical and emotional, is an essential part of growth and evolution, creating new beauty from what once seemed immutable.
