About the artist: Born on October 7, 1911, in the city of Mogilev-Podilsky (now Chernihiv region). Graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (1939). Teacher by profession - O. Shovkunenko. He worked in the field of easel painting. Member of the Great Patriotic War. Awarded with medals. Participated in exhibitions: republican (since 1947), all-Union (since 1957). Major works: "Morning on the Dnieper" (1947); Field Path (1960); "On the Mount of Tarasov" (1964); On Watch (1963); May Rain (1968) and others. Lived and worked in the city of Kiev. He died on March 21, 1989.
