About the artists: Petrov Georgiy Petrovich (1927-2014) – Ukrainian painter, watercolorist. Born in Engels, Saratov region, Russia. Graduated from the Saratov Art School (1953). Studied with teachers: G. Arkhangelsky, I. Shcheglov. He worked in the Kherson Regional Society of Artists (since 1954). Participant of numerous regional, republican, all-Union, international and personal exhibitions (since 1955). Member of the Union of Artists (1973). Diplomat of the Ministry of Culture and Arts of Ukraine and the National Agricultural University (since 2002). The artist’s works are kept in museums in Ukraine and private collections in Europe. Lives and works in Kherson (since 1955). The art of G. Petrov attracts with the harmony of silver colors, transparency and real craftsmanship.
