About the artist: Born on March 22, 1890, in the village of Kalavtsy (now Chernihiv region). He graduated from the Kiev Art College (1915) and the Kiev Art Institute (1927). Specialty teachers are I. Ezhakevich, V. Menk, O. Murashko, B. Johanson, T. Dyadchenko, I. Makushenko, F. Krichevsky, V. Belyaev, O. Makovsky. He worked in the industry of easel painting and book graphics. Awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR (1968). He participated in exhibitions (since 1911), republican since (1927), all-union (since 1946). Personal exhibitions - Kiev (1955, 1966), Vologda (1957). The main works: illustrations for the works of I. Kotlyarevsky (1939 - 1940), K., 1950; T. Shevchenko, K., 1950; paintings "Catherine" (1944); “Envoys of Bogdan Khmelnitsky” (all co-authored by I. Ezhakevich); series of landscapes "Kiev" (1908 - 1969) and others. He lived and worked in the city of Kiev. He died on March 20, 1984.
