About the artist: Pavel Shumov was born on October 6, 1964 in Yalta, a small cozy town of Crimea on the Black Sea, in a family of artists. From an early age with his father, Vasily Shumov, went to sketches in his hometown. In 1978 he graduated from art school. F. Vasiliev in Yalta, then he went to study in St. Petersburg. In 1982 he graduated with honors from an art school at the Academy of Arts. I. Repin in St. Petersburg. Now lives and works in Yalta as a painter and graphic artist. The main topics of work - landscape, portrait. In numerous travels, Pavel works on sketches from which, already in the workshop, large canvases are born. Art exhibitions were held in Ukraine, Russia, Poland, England, Belgium, Germany and Cyprus. The works of Pavel Shumov are presented in the Lviv Art Gallery, the art gallery of the Livadia Palace, as well as in many private collections in the world.
