About the artist: He was born on November 28, 1928 in the village of Novoivanovka, now Poltava region. Graduated from: Kyiv Art School (1948), Kyiv State Art Institute (1949-1955). Teachers by specialty - O. Shovkunenko, V. Puzyrkov. Painter. He worked in the field of easel painting. He worked in the field of thematic painting on historical themes, portraits, landscapes. The paintings are marked by drama, dynamic compositional solution, color saturation; on color landscapes life-affirming. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1960). Honored Artist of the USSR (1971). People's Artist of the USSR (1979). Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine (2001). He was awarded a Diploma of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the USSR and a medal. Participated in exhibitions: republican (1957), all-union (1961).
