About the artist: Born on July 11, 1925 in the city of Uzhgorod. Father of V. Gabda. Graduated from the Budapest Polytechnic Institute (1943-1944), Uzhgorod Art and Industrial School (1946). Teachers in the specialty - A. Erdei, Y. Bokshay, F. Manailo. Painter. He worked in the field of easel painting. Author of lyrical views, graceful still lifes. The color palette is calm, warm and clear, mainly in blue-green and purple tones. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1958). People's Artist of Ukraine (2000). He taught at the Uzhgorod School of Industrial Art (1947-1948). Participated in exhibitions: republican (1954), all-Union (1957), foreign (1967). Personal - in Uzhgorod (1985), the cities of Slovakia: Kosice (1985), Trebisov (1995), Komarno (1999). Main works: series "Past Transcarpathia" (1980); "In the Hutsul region" (1953), "Early spring" (1968), "Volivechchina" (1970), "Uzhgorod Castle" (1970), "Blue River" (1972), "Autumn Flowers" (1974), "Wild Flowers" (1975), triptych "Seasons" (1975), "Uzh River" (1978), "Old Verkhov ina (1979), Old Tree (1981), Autumn in the Carpathians (1981), Fairytale Motif (1981), Melt Water (1991), The Village of Princess (1993), Autumn Trees (1995), February 27 (1996), Sunflowers (1997), Blue Carpathians (1998), Forest "(2001)," Kostrino Village "(2001) and others. The works are stored in the Transcarpathian Art Museum, Kharkov Art Museum, Simferopol Art Museum, Donetsk Art Museum. Lived and worked in the city of Uzhgorod, died on August 22, 2004. Died in 2003.
