About the artist: Honored Artist of the RSFSR. She studied in St. Petersburg in the studio of J.F. Tsionglinsky (1910-1912) and at the Academy of Arts (1912-1918 and 1921-1923) under D.N. Kardovsky. During the Civil War, she worked on propaganda posters in the newspaper. From 1923 she lived in Moscow. Member of the AHRR since 1924. Master of a thematic picture typical of socialist realism, dedicated to Soviet workers. She traveled a lot around the country. She also painted portraits, landscapes, still lifes. The painting "Higher and higher!" Brought fame to the artist. (1934, Kiev Museum of Russian Art). The artist's works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and the Kiev Museum of Russian Art.
