About the artist: Born on February 24, 1924, in the village of Sokolovo (now Zmievsky district, Kharkov region). Graduated from Kharkov Art Institute (1953). Specialty teachers: A. Kokel, B. Kosarev, D. Ovcharenko. Theater designer and painter. People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1979). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1985). He worked as the chief artist of the Zaporozhye Musical Drama Theater (1953-1966); Poltava Musical Drama Theater (1967-1989). Participated in exhibitions: republican, all-Union, foreign (since 1953). Main works: designed performances - "Stolen Happiness" by I. Franko (1956), "Nazar Stodolia" by T. Shevchenko (1961), "Communist" by E. Gabrilovich (1976), "Aeneid" (1977), "Natalka Poltavka" ( 1994), Kotlyarevsky, "Cappelia" by L. Delibes (1977), "The Living Corpse" by L. Tolstoy (1978), "Windsor Jokers" by W. Shakespeare, "Maritsa" by I. Kalman (1980), "Free Wind" by I. Dunaevsky (1981), "The Law of Eternity" by N. Dumbadze, "Give freedom to your heart, it will lead you into bondage" by M. Kropivnitsky (1982), "My Fair Lady" by F. Low (1983), "The Decameron" by J. Boccaccio (1984 ), "Private" A. Dudrev (1985), "Marusya Boguslavka" M. Staritsky (1987), "Zaporozhets beyond the Danube" S. Gulak-Artemovsky (1992), "The Night Before Christmas" by N. Gogol (1995) . Author of portraits by I. Kozlovsky, I. Kobrinsky, B. Prokopovich (1972). The works are stored in the Poltava Literary and Memorial Museum of Panas Mirny, the Poltava Museum of Local Lore, the Central Theater Museum in Moscow. Lived and worked in Poltava, died March 30, 2002.
