About the artist: Vira Mykolaivna Karachakova was born on April 19, 1943, in the village of Nizhnya Teya, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Republic of Khakassia. Graduated from the Ukrainian Printing Institute in Lviv (1977). Teachers by specialty: V. Ovchinnikova. Graphic designer, artist, poet.
The main fields are easel (pastels, watercolors) and book graphics, painting.
Took part in exhibitions: regional, republican, international (1978).
Personal exhibitions - in Simferopol (2006-2008, 2011), Alushta (2008-2009). Main works: graphics - series "Historical Alushta" (2002), "Singing Pictures" (2009), "Landscapes and Still Lifes" (2010-2011), "On Watch", "Crimean Vine" (2009); painting - triptych "Mountains of Alushta" (2008), "Interdependence", "The very stone", "The Myth of Sisyphus" (2011). The works are stored in the house-museum of A. Beketov and the local history museum in Alushta. Lived and worked in Crimea.
