About the artist: Born on January 27, 1937 in Stalingrad, now Volgograd. He graduated from the Kharkov Art Institute of Painting, Theater and Decorative Faculty (1964). Teacher, specialty - B. Kosarev. Painter, theater artist. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1974). He worked as artistic director of the Sumy Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater (1964-66), as an artist at the Sumy Art Production Workshop of the Art Fund of Ukraine (1965-1998). Since 1998 - retired. Participated in exhibitions: Republican (1971-1984), All-Union (1983), International (1991, 1999) Celle, (Germany). Personal - 1997 in Sumy. Major works: Painting - “Partisan Partisans” (1975), “After the Fight” (1979), “Three Bogatyrs (S. Kovpak, S. Rudnev, G. Bazyma during a partisan raid)” (1983), “First Tractor” (1984), “Approaching Autumn” (1991), “Silent Evening” (1999). Graphics - a series of "Guerrillas Sumy", "Scouts", "Commander of a company of machine gunners" (1973); In the theater: “Faust and Death” by A. Levada (sketch of scenery, 1972), “Man lives only once” by V. Maklakov (scenery, 1974); performances: “My topol'enka in a red kerchief” by C. Aitmatov, “The Snow Queen” by E. Schwartz (both - 1965), “Enchanted Windmill” by M. Stelmakh (1966), “Nazar Stodolya” by T. Shevchenko (1973), “Forerunners "A. Shiyan and Y. Zbanatsky (1974)," Stars in the morning sky "A. Galina (1986). Works are kept in the Sumy Art Museum, the Kursk Art Gallery, the Museum of Ukrainian Lesya (Kovel, Volyn Region), art galleries in the town of Vrashta (Bulgaria), and Celle.
