About the artists: Born on December 01, 1938 in the Kulibin farm (now the village of Rymarovka, Gadyatsky district, Poltava region). Mother A. Barinova. Studied at the Kharkov Art School (since 1954). Graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (1965), the creative workshops of the Academy of Arts of the USSR in Kiev (1968). Teachers by profession: V. Puzyrkov, K. Trofimenko, V. Kostetsky, V. Vyrodova-Gauthier, S. Grigoriev. Painter and teacher. He worked in the traditions of realism and neo-folklore. People's Artist of Ukraine (2009). Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1989). Active member of NAMU (2017). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1989). She trained for 2 months in the former GDR. He worked at the Kiev Art Institute (now the National Academy of Creative Arts and Architecture) (since 1968): teacher, senior teacher, associate professor; professor of painting (since 1995). Participated in exhibitions: republican, all-Union (since 1965); and also in an exhibition of 17 Ukrainian artists in London, at the auctions: "Christie" and "Sotheby" (1989). Personal exhibitions: in the village of Krasnaya Luka, Poltava region (1975), the city of Gadyach, Poltava region (early 1990s), Washington (1995), Kiev (2000), Chicago (2001). Major works - "Girls" (1965), "At their parents" (1966), "Family", "Mother", "News from the village" (1968), "1945" (1969), "Song", "Fathers" ( 1970), "Lesya Ukrainka and Olga Kobylyanskaya" (1980), "Mother's Dream" (1985); triptych: "My mother" (1985), "Decree on the land" (1986-1987); series: "Long time ago and now" (1988-1998), "Quail" (1990); triptych: "Cossacks", "Haymaking of Uncle Nikolai" (1992), "We invite you to the wedding" (1994); portrait of M. Dragomanov (1991). The works are kept in national art museums and other museums in Ukraine, USA, Canada, Finland, Switzerland, Great Britain.
