About the artist: Ukrainian Soviet painter. People's Artist of Ukraine.
Anatoly Leonidovich Nasedkin was born on April 22, 1924 in Novgorod, Russia.
In the mid-1930s, the family of the future artist moved to Kharkov.
At the age of 12, Anatoly Nasedkin entered the fine arts studio at the Palace of Pioneers. His drawing "Papanintsy" was published in 1938 in the collection "Happy Youth", and after that he participated in an exhibition at the USSR Exhibition of Economic Achievements in Moscow, where he was awarded a diploma.
Member of the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded with military awards.
From 1946 to 1951 he studied at the Kharkov Art Institute. His teachers were M.G. Deregus and E.P. Svetlichny.
Since 1952 - a participant in republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions.
Member of the Kharkov branch of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR.
He worked in the field of easel painting and book graphics. Master of genre painting, landscape, portrait and still life.
In 1968, after the appearance at the all-Union and republican art exhibitions of the picture "Prodotryad" A. L. Nasedkin received the title of Honored Art Worker. The whole series of works about the village, which included the "Prodotryad", was presented for the TG Shevchenko State Prize of Ukraine, which was awarded to the artist in 1985.
Since 1974 - People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR.
In 1976 in Kharkov, and then in Kiev, a personal exhibition of A.L. Nasedkin was held. It was the result of the creator's twenty-five years of activity.
The artist died on July 26, 1994 in Kharkov.
The works of Anatoly Leonidovich Nasedkin are presented in the Kharkov and Lugansk art museums, in galleries and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, England, France and Japan.
