About the artist: Born on April 26 (May 09?) 1914 in the village of Olginka (now the village of Volnovkhsky district, Donetsk region). Graduated from the All-Russian Academy of Arts in Leningrad (1939). Teachers by profession: I. Brodsky, V. Yakovlev, P. Shukhmin. Graphic artist, painter. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (1976). Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1978). Member of the 2nd World War, earned state awards. He worked in the art and production workshops of Mariupol and city: "Priazovsky worker" (since 1955). He taught at the Lviv School and the Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts. Participated in exhibitions since 1935. Personal exhibitions in Moscow (1939, 1977), Kiev (1974, 1978, 1983, 1985), Donetsk (1935, 1956, 1967, 1977, 1980, 1985) and Ukraine (1957, 1959, 1963, 1969-1970, 1974, 1980, 1982, 1984). He took part in the creation of a panorama: "The Commonwealth of Peoples of the USSR" at the universe exhibition in New York (1938-1939), made a decorative panel: "Fishing" and "Hunting" for the Exhibition of Economic Achievements in Moscow (1939). Major works - "The initiator of the Stakhanov movement", "Stalevar Shashkin", "Self-portrait", "Portrait of a mother" (1935), "Foundry workers of the Ilyich factory" (1937), "Reception of worker-sellers in the editorial office of the newspaper Pravda" (1939), " Transport load "(1945); "The first swallow" (1959), "Before great achievements" (1965), "Commissar of the partisan detachment V. Nadtochiy" (1969), "Noble steel worker, Hero of Socialist. Works by V. Shkuropat "," Partizan Chernous "(1970)," Brigadier of fitters M. Bogdashevsky "(1977)," Fascism "(1978-1981)," Mother's Mountain "(1983)," Old Transcarpathian with his granddaughter "(1987 ), "Zhenya with Cheburashka" (1988); a series of landscapes in the town of Gorodnya (1989-1990). The works are kept in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, Mariupol, Donetsk, Horlivka art museums. He died on February 17, 1994 in the town of Gorodnya, Chernihiv region.
