About the artist: People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR, People's Artist of Russia, Honorary Member of the Academy of Arts of the Russian Federation, Honored Artist of the ARC. Master of thematic paintings, portraits, landscapes, still lifes. One of the founders of the Crimean School of Painting. He studied with the professor of the Academy of Arts A.P. Eisner, Leningrad Art College. In 1940 he entered the Academy of Arts. For brilliant successes, after the 1st year he was awarded a Stalin scholarship. Member of the Second World War. In 1950, a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Since 1951, a participant in city, regional, all-Union and international exhibitions (Great Britain, Japan, Greece, USA, France, Hungary). Personal exhibitions in Paris (exhibition hall Drouot), London Kiev, Sevastopol, Simferopol. In 1976 he was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor. Winner of the State Prize of the ARC. In 2010 he was awarded the gold medal "For Contribution to World Culture" of the International Fund "Cultural Heritage" (Russia). In 2011 he was awarded the distinction "For fidelity to duty." Works are in museums and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, USA, France, Holland, Great Britain and Japan.
