About the artist: Soviet painter.
Mikhail Vasilyevich Akinshin was born February 18, 1927 in the village. Lomov, Kursk region (Russia).
In 1951 he graduated from the Tashkent Art College. P.P. Benkova. Teachers: S. Redkin, M. Zhukov.
In 1953 he moved to Zaporizhia.
He graduated from the Kiev Art Institute in 1962.
Since 1965, Akinshin M.V. - A participant in regional, republican and all-Union art exhibitions.
Since 1968 - a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
The painter’s works show the influence of the coloristics of Martiros Sarian. It is also impossible not to compare his paintings permeated with calm and philosophical wisdom, with paintings by the great painter - Nicholas Roerich.
The artist died on 07/22/1982.
In 2012, the exhibition of paintings by Mikhail Akinshin "From Ascension to Samarkand" was held at the Zaporizhzhya Regional Art Museum, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the painter.
The artist's works are presented in museum and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Uzbekistan, France, Switzerland, Great Britain, the USA and Canada.
