About the artist: Ukrainian painter. Vladimir Artemyevich Kolesnik was born in 1920 with. Yellow Dnepropetrovsk region. From 1946 to 1952 he studied at the painting department of the Kiev State Art Institute, where his teachers were A. Shovkunenko, T. Yablonskaya, K. Eleva, V. Puzyrkov. After graduation, he teaches at the Kiev School of Decorative and Applied Arts. Since 1949, Kolesnik V.A. the participant of regional, all-Ukrainian, all-Union and international exhibitions. Member of the USSR Union of Artists since 1964. V.A. Kolesnik worked mainly in the field of landscape and genre painting, his paintings are distinguished by bright decorative and open rich color. The artist's works are kept in museums and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Japan and France.
