About the artist: Was born on January 27, 1937 in Stalingrad, now Volgograd. Graduated from the Kharkov Art Institute of Painting, theatrical and decorative faculty (1964) Teacher by profession - B. Kosareva. Painter, theater artist. Member of the National Union of Artists (1974). He worked as a production designer at the Sumy Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater (1964-66), as an artist at the Sumy art-production workshop of the Art Fund of Ukraine (1965-1998). Since 1998 - retired. Participated in exhibitions: Republican (1971-1984), All-Union (1983), International (1991, 1999) Celle, (Germany). Personal - 1997 in Sumy. Major works: Painting - "Partisans of Sumy" (1975), "After the battle" (1979), "Three heroes (S. Kovpak, S. Rudnev, G. Bazyma during a partisan raid)" (1983), "First tractor" (1984), "Autumn is approaching" (1991), "Quiet evening" (1999). Graphics - series "Partisans of Sumy", "Scouts", "Company commander of machine gunners" (1973); In the theater: "Faust and Death" by A. Levada (set design, 1972), "A man lives only once" by V. Maklakov (set, 1974); performances: "My Poplar in a Red Kerchief" by Ch. Aitmatov, "The Snow Queen" by E. Schwartz (both - 1965), "The Enchanted Windmill" by M. Stelmakh (1966), "Nazar Stodolya" by T. Shevchenko (1973), "Harbingers "A. Shiyan and Y. Zbanatsky (1974)," Stars in the morning sky "A. Galin (1986). The works are kept in the Sumy Art Museum, Kursk Art Gallery, Lesya Ukrainsky Museum (Kovel, Volyn region), art galleries in Vrashcha (Bulgaria), Celle. (Germany). He died on January 29, 2008.
